8:19 p.m. - 2004-09-21 We are voters, that gives us the same equal say as everyone else. Until the electoral college takes over. I still say it's antiquated. It's like using an abacus to count all the grains of sand on a beach. It is far from practical. Nowadays we have computers to tabulate all those votes in a matter of moments that are networked so that we see it all in real time. Why should some stodgy old guys that just smoked a cigar with a candidate decide who our president is? "Go change the world, then." If I could... I would. An individual doesn't affect society as a whole very often though. I yearn for a broad utopia. Only through retreatism would I ever truly find / create one of that magnitude.
