King's Island Pride Night
Behind a few days...

Friday was our (Miller and I) trip down to King's Island for Pride Night. A bunch of happy people and short lines to get onto any of the rides. We're talking waiting for maybe the next train on any given ride, unless we were being picky about wanting to ride in the very front of a ride if we didn't happen to walk up when it was empty.

Speaking of specific seats, the very back of Diamondback, what i was calling the Rattle, is pretty intense, especially at night. The rest of the coaster has already plummeted down the hill and *whip* the rattle gets pulled along for the ride, like "Keep up!"

All in all a fun time. Didn't have anything beyond drinking fountain water while we were in the park. I wanted a chocolate covered banana, but they must have closed the cart down early. We did eat at Skyline Chili before checking into the hotel, though, and we ate at Jack in the Box after leaving the park.

Next day we stopped at a comic shop, where I bought just a set of blue and white dice (with red numbers), from Chessex's Astral line, that looks like an iridescent version of gummy sharks. Had stopped there immediately after checking out of the hotel while waiting for my stomach to wake up. Also stopped at a Halloween store to browse. Stomach had finally woken up enough to go to BD's Mongolian Grill.

Afterwards, we began our drive home. We stopped in Columbus, at the Short North neighborhood, and then stopped in at the Convention Center to visit their comic shop, Heroes and Games. Perfect place for it, as they host several gaming and related conventions there each year. When we went to leave, though, it was a torrential downpour, which severely delayed our progress home.

Dropped Miller off at his house around 820pm, and headed home for a nap. Woke up around 1am. We were maybe going to go out to a bar or something, but he must have fallen asleep, as well.
